Produce for September 18 and 22, 2018

by Sep 17, 20182018 Produce Update

We have a large amount of squash and green tomatoes on hand that were picked before freezing temperatures hit last week. Sadly, the season has ended for tender crops such as basil, cucumbers and zucchini. Additions to this week’s list are celeriac, grapes, pumpkins and radishes!

As a reminder, 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening is the last drop-in Nordic walking session – it’s a great way to keep warm! Please see our poster for the details.

This week the garden market is open: Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn). A map and further directions to the garden are available at: www.greengoldgarden.com/visit.

Please bring your own bags for produce. See you at the market!
