Green & Gold Garden
The Green & Gold Community Garden is a community garden with both local and global benefits. We grow over 60 types of vegetables, herbs and flowers, using organic gardening practices. Our produce is freshly picked and available during twice-weekly markets for a donation based on fair market prices.
All donations for Garden produce go to support the Tubahumurize Association in Rwanda, a not-for-profit organization that supports socially and economically marginalized women through counselling, vocational training, health education, microcredit loans and employment opportunities.
It is with profound grief and sadness that we are letting you know that Dr. Shirley Ross, a founder of the Green & Gold Community Garden, and its long-time manager and driving force, has passed away.

Whether you’re green to gardening or a seasoned green-thumb, we’d love to hear from you.
The variety of vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers that we have available changes with the seasons. Please check our produce update each week to see what we’re harvesting.
We hold garden markets on Tuesday evenings and Saturday during the day all through the Summer and Fall. Market hours change slightly as the days get shorter, so please check our current opening times.
The Garden is conveniently located near the heart of Edmonton, on the south end of the University Farm on the University of Alberta’s South Campus. We are easily accessible by car, public transit, bike or on foot.
