by Sep 30, 20242024 Produce Update

Please note that there are no more Tuesday evening markets for the rest of the season. Saturday markets will continue in October – at least until Thanksgiving weekend.

Bulk sales of beets & onions start this week – 10 lbs for $10.

And, we still have lots of lovely greens left. Fill a bulk bag of kale, chard, mustard or arugula for $10 too..

Market hours this week will be:

Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Events: We’ll be selling Rwandan handicrafts made by the women of Tubahumurize at the Just One World marketplace again. This year it’s a two-day event on Saturday, November 16 (from 9:30 am – 4 pm) and Sunday, November 17 (from 11 am – 4 pm), at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre, 8426 Gateway Blvd.

Location: For those of you who haven’t visited before, the Garden is located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm from the east side off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you’ll see us just across the road from the old barn. On transit – we’re about a 15-minute walk from the South Campus LRT station. A map and further directions to the garden are available at: www.greengoldgarden.com/visit.

See you at the Garden!
