Produce For July 5 and 9, 2016
Welcome to our second week of garden markets! Our recipe #2 features sorrel. Yes, sorrel can be used to make pesto while we all wait for the basil to mature!
This week the garden market is open on: Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. And Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be: Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and Saturdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm
For those of you who haven’t visited the garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it, we’re just across the road from the old barn. - Salad greens (lettuce, arugula, mustard greens)
- Beet greens
- Swiss chard
- Herbs (oregano, tarragon, mint, thyme, etc.)
