Produce for July 26 and 30, 2016
Still wondering what to do with beet greens? Here is recipe #2 for beet tops that can be adapted to include 2 other Garden favorites – kale and Swiss chard. Reminder: There’s a drop-in fitness session on Saturday, July 30 at 10:00 a.m. The cost is only $10.00/session and the funds collected will be donated to the Garden to help with our support of the Tubahumurize Association (see poster for more details).
The garden market is open: Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be: Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn). A map and further directions to the garden are available at: www.greengoldgarden.com/visit
See you at the market!
