Produce for July 19 and 23, 2016
Welcome to our 4th week of Garden markets! Wondering what to do with beet greens? (The most nutrient rich part of the plant, by the way.) This week’s recipe features delicious, nutritious beet greens.
The garden market is open Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be: Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn). A map and further directions to the garden are available at: www.greengoldgarden.com/visit.
