Produce for August 29 and September 2, 2017
We have lots of basil and lots of beets this week, so it’s time to pull out your pesto recipes and pickling jars!
If you are interested in a large quantity of an item, just check with one of our volunteers first in case quantities are limited. Thank you for your understanding!
The garden market is open: Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be: Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn). - Beets (lots of these, too)
- Herbs (basil, dill, tarragon, mint, oregano, parsley, thyme, chives, etc.)
- Salad greens – lettuce, arugula, mustard, parsley (flat leaf and curly)
- Swiss chard
