Produce for August 23 and 27, 2016
Since we still have an abundance of zucchini, this week’s recipe is for a very tasty zucchini loaf. We also have an abundance of basil so if you’re passionate about pesto we have lots of fresh-picked basil for your favorite recipe. Also, the last drop-in fitness session is on Tuesday, August 23 at 6:00 p.m. See our poster for details.
The garden market is open Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn).
