Produce For August 20 and 24, 2019
We invite you to attend a tour of our orchard on Saturday, August 24 or Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m. Gabe Botar will be leading tours of the orchard that he developed over 25 years. Gabe retired in 2015 from the University of Alberta after 37 years as a Horticultural Technologist/Field Supervisor. He has extensive knowledge of horticulture, botany and specialized fields such as fruit production in cold climates. The orchard includes apricots, apples, cherries, currants, elderberries, grapes, haskap, pears, plums, raspberries, saskatoons and more — all grown using environmentally friendly methods. The orchard is a rare Edmonton resource demonstrating the many types of fruit that can be grown in a cold climate.
