Produce for August 2 and 6, 2016
With the start of August, you can see the produce list is getting longer. We’ve added potatoes, cucumbers, onions, broccoli, and from the orchard – apricots and apples. This week’s recipe is for beets glazed with Alberta wildflower honey. Also, click here for a summary of the report from the Tubahumurize Association describing their accomplishments in the first 6 months of this year.
The Garden market is open: Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be: Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn).
