Produce for August 16 and 20, 2016
We are in full harvesting mode now and we have an abundance of zucchini. Here is a recipe for zucchini and beet latkes courtesy of The Tomato Food & Drink. Of course there’s always zucchini loaf, stuffed zucchini, grilled zucchini, chocolate zucchini cake, zucchini salsa, etc. etc. If you have the recipe, we have the zucchini!
The garden market is open Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Regular market hours for the remainder of the summer will be: Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For those of you who haven’t visited the Garden before, we are located on the South Campus of the University of Alberta. Enter the University Farm off 60th Ave. Turn left at the T intersection (118th St) and you can’t miss it (we’re just across the road from the old barn).
