About the Orchard: The orchard was developed by Gabe Botar over a period of 25 years. It includes apricots, apples, cherries, currants, elderberries, grapes, haskap, pears, plums, raspberries, saskatoons and more — all grown using environmentally-friendly methods. Gabe retired in 2015 from the University of Alberta after 37 years as a Horticultural Technologist/Field Supervisor. He has extensive knowledge of horticulture, botany and specialized fields such as fruit production in cold climates. The orchard is a rare Edmonton resource demonstrating the many types of fruit that can be grown in a cold climate. *Please respect our garden and orchard on this tour. Please leave your dog at home.
