About the Orchard: The orchard was developed by Gabe Botar over a period of 25 years. It includes apricots, apples, cherries, currants, elderberries, grapes, haskap, pears, plums, raspberries, saskatoons and more – all grown using environmentally-friendly methods. Gabe retired in 2015 from the University of Alberta after 37 years as a Horticultural Technologist/Field Supervisor. He has extensive knowledge of horticulture, botany and specialized fields such as fruit production in cold climates, and he will be one of the guides hosting the tours. The orchard is a rare Edmonton resource demonstrating the many types of fruit that can be grown in a cold climate.

*Please respect our garden and orchard on this tour. Please leave your dog at home.
